For the first time in NBA history, the Lakers and Clippers are legitimate championship contenders at the same time, and this is the new rivalry that all basketball fans have been looking forward to. Will Carmelo Anthony ever play in the NBA again?

Future Hall-of-Famer Carmelo Anthony has a resume that is almost second to none. He is a 10-time all-star, 3-time gold medalist, and a career 25 point per game scorer, but lately these accolades have been shoved to the side as Carmelo continues to be blackballed by the NBA.

Carmelo has not played in the NBA since being released by the Houston Rockets in November of last year. The 2019-20 schedule was released on Tuesday and Carmelo still remains unsigned. Now the million dollar question is- will Carmelo Anthony ever play in the NBA again?

What Anthony Davis Trade Means for Lakers and Pelicans

In January, superstar forward Anthony Davis requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans. From the very beginning, Davis and his agent Rich Paul made it very clear to the Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers that the Lakers were his first option as far as desired destinations.
